Keira hasn't been feeling very good. She doesn't have the flu, she just has a really bad cold, runny nose, and cough. She hasn't had a fever but she has been really warm and grumpy. She usually doesn't get too bad when she doesn't feel good, she is usually really quiet and lovey and just wants to sleep. Aden has a little bit of a cold also, he is really congested and coughing. It seems like all he wants to do is sleep also when he doesn't feel good, sleeping usually makes me feel better when I am sick.
Well, I think we are done with the hustle and bussel of Christmas. We have one more Christmas, but that is in the middle of January some time. We had 5 Christmas's this year (counting our Christmas morning together).
It seems like I might not be working at my little deli anymore. I had an argument with my manager because she changed my hours without asking me. Here is my long story kind of short... I was working Fri. & Sat. 5 a.m.-1:30 a.m, they cut hours so I was down to Fri. 5 a.m.-8a.m & Sat. 5 a.m.-1 p.m. Well my manager called me 2 weeks ago on Thursday and asked me if I could work her shift Fri. Dec. 19th from 8 a.m-1p.m and I said I would, so I did, the next Friday I was expecting to work my regular shift 5a.m-8a.m and I looked at the schedule and it says 5-1, which I allready had plans at 10 that morning. I called her and told her that nobody asked me to work until 1 and that I was leaving at 8 whether or not anybody showed up. I am usually not the type of person to let little stuff like that bother me but I do not like her and it gave me a good reason to be a b**ch :) Enough of my rambling, sorry to bore you to death we will move onto another subject.
Dan is off this week from work, he is on a little mini vacation. It is kind of nice having him around the house on the week days. For those of you who don't know me, I am a stay at home mom and go to school on line full time, so some days can be pretty stressful with 2 kids, but it is worth it. I will have my Psychology degree in May 2009, so hopefully the stress level will go down once I am not in school anymore. I am not quit sure what I am going to do after I get done with school, I do not want to put the kids in daycare. I will most likely find a part time 6p.m-10p.m shift at a local youth center or something like that. Okay I am rambling again, better get to bed.

Christmas this year was great! It was fun to spend Christmas morning with the kids and the hubby. We don't get much mornings together as a family, Dan usually works Mon.-Thurs. mornings and I work Fri. & Sat. mornings, our only mornings are usually Sunday and I try and let him get caught up on his sleep that day. Our time together is usually at night from 6 p.m on. Keira was excited about opening gifts, she didn't really care what was in each package she just opened one (piece by piece) and after that was unwrapped she would move on to the next present. Aden doesn't really know what is going on yet, he just knows he gets new toys :)
Christmas morning was pretty relaxing this year. Even though we were going to Nana and Papa's later that day it didn't seem like we were being rushed. It seems like we find ourselves rushing around a lot more with 2 kids, so it was kind of nice to take our time and relax. Me and the hubby got both of our showers in before the kids woke up at 9 a.m (Yes, both kids usually sleep in that late every day :)) We fed the kids got them dressed, opened presents and got ready to go to Nana's house. It was just an all around good day for all of us. You can see pictures as doublebanker's blog at doublebanker.blogspot.com/.
We had Grandma's (Dan's parents) Christmas today. It was nice to spend time with the sister-in-law and nephew again. They will be here until after the 1st. Ever since Aden was born Keira has wanted to feed, burp, and put a blanket on every baby (doll) she sees, pretty much to what mommy does to Aden. Grandma and Grandpa got her a "real" baby that came with a bottle, when you put it in the baby's mouth it opens and closes her eyes and coos and laughs, so Keira got a kick out of her baby and didn't put it down all night except to go nigh night.
Can't believe the year is almost over. It has been a crazy but short year. Hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year!
on biopsy, Christmas, dean's list, kids, semester, test results
Well, this semester is over. I did wind up getting a C in one of my psych classes, which is okay because at least I passed it, my first one in 4 years of school. Not to brag or anything but I was actually on the Dean's list for a semester with a 4.0. Looking forward to a nice couple weeks off of school and not stressing out.
I got my test results back from my biopsy, the doctor said that it was just binine (sp.?) breast tissue. Another weight that is lifted off my shoulders :)
Keira and Aden are doing really good. Aden is starting to become more aware of things around and looking for his big sister when he is playing on the floor. He is reaching and grabbing toys with his hands. He hasn't started rolling over yet, he is pretty close though, he gets on his side then he rolls back over to his tummy. Keira is being a big sister and helping when she can. She has been putting words together into sentences and now can string about 5 words together that actually makes sense ;) Can't wait until Christmas when the kids open their presents.
Merry Christmas! I will probably try to post one more time before Christmas. Happy New Year!
