The little man is getting so big. He is 5 months now and will be 6 months on March 9th. He has his 6 month check up then. I am guessing he weighs 18 lbs, he weighed 15 lbs at his 3 month check up. He is still in 3-6 month jeans and 6-9 month shirts. He is getting cuter every day and doing so much all ready.
Kiki is getting big. She is 27 months old now (actually she turned 27 months old today). She is getting smarter and smarter every day (if that is possible). She knows her colors and shapes. She knows how to count to 10 and her ABCs. I don't think there is anything she doesn't know how to do (except maybe math :) ).
on classes, graduation, kids, school
I have not been on here as much as I planned. I have not been on here mainly because I have not had anything to say. This is the last week of classes for my 8 weeks classes, so I have been busy getting that done and organized. The kids are keeping me pretty busy also. My only time during the day for homework is when the kids are napping. Keira is down to one nap a day, she has been for about a year now. Aden and Keira are not on the same schedule for naps. Aden usually wakes up from his nap when I am laying Keira down, he will usually nap again about the last hour Keira is sleeping.
I can possibly get a 4.0 again this semester ***knock on wood*** When these two 8 week classes are done I still have 2 that were 16 week classes that are done in May. Don't know what we are planning yet for graduation. I know we are going to the ceremony, my parents and my husband's parents are going to be there as well. I think after we are just going to go out to eat with a bunch of friends and parents. Unless the hubby has anything planned for me **wink wink**
on super, Valentine's day
I had a wonderful Valentine's Day! Me and the hubby went out on Friday night while the kids were at gma's and gpa's. We went to Grisanti's then to a movie, Taken. It was a really nice just the two of us.
On Saturday, me, Kiki, and the little man made breakfast for daddy in bed. I was planning on making french toast, which is his favorite, but the little store down the street didn't have any texas toast, I was really dissapointed. So he got an egg and bacon scramble mix, with cinnamon roll minis, and biscuits. I think he really enjoyed it. The rest of the day was really nice, we went shopping then went to another one of my favorite places to eat, Chipotle. The hubby had went shopping for me about a week before Vday, and of course I had to wait until the day of to get my gifts. I really like candle stuff and he got me a really nice candle holder, and some really pretty diffusers, and a candle that has a tea light in the bottom and you put diffuser stuff in the top and it heats up and smells really good. I on the other hand, am a slacker and didn't have time to stop anywhere so I did my shopping on line and ordered his stuff Thursday, not realizing it would still take a week to get here.
Hope everyone had a good Valentine's Day!
on aden, first tooth, job, keira, teethers
The kids are growing up so fast. Aden is 4 months old and will be 5 months on Feb. 9th. He has been rolling from his tummy to his back for a couple weeks now. He tries to roll back over onto his stomach but he winds up arching his back and looking like a C (if that makes any sense). Aden just got his first tooth on the bottom. The one right next to it is poking through also, so he is going to have 2 teethers pretty soon! Keira got her first tooth about the same time. Keira has picked up a new word (if that is possible, since she can repeat anything you say) "you're right."
I officially quit my job at the deli. This last weekend was my first weekend I got to sleep past 4:30 in almost a year. I only worked Friday and Saturday mornings at 5 a.m., I never really looked forward to Thursday or Friday nights because I wouldn't get to spend any time with Dan past 10 p.m and that is about the time when the kids are asleep. This weekend felt really good to spend time together and not worry about how late we got to sleep.
on ball, losing weight
I have lost 4.6 pounds (to be exact :)) For my exercises I play the Wii Fit and use the ball (will explain later). I weighed my self on the Wii Fit after being off of it for 49 days and it said I was -4.6 lbs. It is not much but it is something! I was 110 lbs before I had my daughter and was 120 after I had my daughter. I got to about 145 when I had my son and I am now at 120 counting my -4.6lbs. I would like to get down to about 115 or lower.
Okay... I will explain the "ball" method. I don't know if any one knows what it is but I will try to explain. There is a commercial for an exercise called the Bender ball method... it is just a ball about the size of a four square ball, but it can't be too rubbery, the point is to do crunches with it. You lay on your back on the floor with your knees bent, you place the ball under you just above your butt, between your butt and the bottom of your back and you do crunches letting the ball support you. You do not go all the way back, just enough to squeeze the ball. You can also put it under your butt and work the lower abs.
Almost done with my 8 week classes, only have 6 more weeks left (Sarcasm:) Aden has really grown up, he can roll over now, he is all over his blanket when you lay him on the floor. He has been able to grab things, but now he can hold onto it and play with it. He used to cry the minute you left the room, but now he keeps himself entertained with his toys and hands. He is pretty entertained with Keira too, he watches her every move. He is laughing and talking a lot more now.
It is pretty nice today, the high is supposed to be 56 and tomorrow it is supposed to be 20, that's Nebraska for ya. I might take the kids outside to get some fresh air.
on Columbus, pool tourny, team members
Well, we went to Columbus this weekend to play in some pool tournaments. Friday was singles for those who signed up a couple months in advance. I was not planning on going Friday so I didn't sign up, but I wound up going on Friday because the arrangements with the kids worked out. The kids were nanna's Friday night and most of Saturday night. Dan played in the "open" singles and didn't do very well. We played in a couple mini tournys they had that night, didn't do very good in those, I can chalk it up to being up at 4:30 that morning and playing at 10 p.m at night. Needless to say it was a long day for both of us.
Saturday was teams, me, Dan, and a couple other guys from Seward were on a team. Our first match was at 9 a.m Saturday. We won so we had to play right away again, we lost the next match which put us in the loser's bracket. We got done about 12 and thought we had to be back at 1 for our next match, so we left to go eat, when we got back we got a bye, (which means we won the match we were supposed to play) so we didn't play until 3 (made for a long day). We wound up losing our match at 3 o'clock. We played a team that we knew from Lincoln, Jenny Nixon, Matt Nixon, Dan Cradick and some other guy, anyway we should never lose to them, and those of you who know them know we should have never lost to them. Losing that match made us available for the second chance tournament, we got 4th. We were all pretty sick of pool for a while.
We had a few teams that we knew from Lincoln playing. The team that Dan plays with on Wednesday nights won the "intermediate" team tourny.
My next tournament is the "B" and "C" tourny that Madsen's holds every year. Last year I played really well, so we'll see what happens this year.
