Today I will....

say good morning and I love you when you wake
let you stay in the bathtub as long as you want
let you pick your own clothes out as long as it takes
let you watch whatever you want just as long as it doesn't haunt

play dolls and trucks with you
hold your hand while we go check the mail
let you play as long as you want to
not yell at you if your inside voice fails

just let you be a kid
rock you as long as you want me to
let you fall asleep in my arms like you did
let you pick out what you want for a snack just not glue

cook your favorite supper
read you your favorite night night book
not get upset if you are whiny or crying just hold you
let you sleep in my bed so you feel safe

Feeling bad :(

Keira hasn't been feeling very good. She doesn't have the flu, she just has a really bad cold, runny nose, and cough. She hasn't had a fever but she has been really warm and grumpy. She usually doesn't get too bad when she doesn't feel good, she is usually really quiet and lovey and just wants to sleep. Aden has a little bit of a cold also, he is really congested and coughing. It seems like all he wants to do is sleep also when he doesn't feel good, sleeping usually makes me feel better when I am sick.

Well, I think we are done with the hustle and bussel of Christmas. We have one more Christmas, but that is in the middle of January some time. We had 5 Christmas's this year (counting our Christmas morning together).

It seems like I might not be working at my little deli anymore. I had an argument with my manager because she changed my hours without asking me. Here is my long story kind of short... I was working Fri. & Sat. 5 a.m.-1:30 a.m, they cut hours so I was down to Fri. 5 a.m.-8a.m & Sat. 5 a.m.-1 p.m. Well my manager called me 2 weeks ago on Thursday and asked me if I could work her shift Fri. Dec. 19th from 8 a.m-1p.m and I said I would, so I did, the next Friday I was expecting to work my regular shift 5a.m-8a.m and I looked at the schedule and it says 5-1, which I allready had plans at 10 that morning. I called her and told her that nobody asked me to work until 1 and that I was leaving at 8 whether or not anybody showed up. I am usually not the type of person to let little stuff like that bother me but I do not like her and it gave me a good reason to be a b**ch :) Enough of my rambling, sorry to bore you to death we will move onto another subject.

Dan is off this week from work, he is on a little mini vacation. It is kind of nice having him around the house on the week days. For those of you who don't know me, I am a stay at home mom and go to school on line full time, so some days can be pretty stressful with 2 kids, but it is worth it. I will have my Psychology degree in May 2009, so hopefully the stress level will go down once I am not in school anymore. I am not quit sure what I am going to do after I get done with school, I do not want to put the kids in daycare. I will most likely find a part time 6p.m-10p.m shift at a local youth center or something like that. Okay I am rambling again, better get to bed.

The day after Christmas we had professional family pictures taken. Since doublebanker was lazy and didn't put the pictures on his blog, I am stealing the idea and putting them on my blog :) I hope you all enjoy. These pictures are from the CD we got, not necessarily the pictures we picked out so some of the pics may have some flaws in them.

Christmas this year was great! It was fun to spend Christmas morning with the kids and the hubby. We don't get much mornings together as a family, Dan usually works Mon.-Thurs. mornings and I work Fri. & Sat. mornings, our only mornings are usually Sunday and I try and let him get caught up on his sleep that day. Our time together is usually at night from 6 p.m on. Keira was excited about opening gifts, she didn't really care what was in each package she just opened one (piece by piece) and after that was unwrapped she would move on to the next present. Aden doesn't really know what is going on yet, he just knows he gets new toys :)

Christmas morning was pretty relaxing this year. Even though we were going to Nana and Papa's later that day it didn't seem like we were being rushed. It seems like we find ourselves rushing around a lot more with 2 kids, so it was kind of nice to take our time and relax. Me and the hubby got both of our showers in before the kids woke up at 9 a.m (Yes, both kids usually sleep in that late every day :)) We fed the kids got them dressed, opened presents and got ready to go to Nana's house. It was just an all around good day for all of us. You can see pictures as doublebanker's blog at doublebanker.blogspot.com/.

We had Grandma's (Dan's parents) Christmas today. It was nice to spend time with the sister-in-law and nephew again. They will be here until after the 1st. Ever since Aden was born Keira has wanted to feed, burp, and put a blanket on every baby (doll) she sees, pretty much to what mommy does to Aden. Grandma and Grandpa got her a "real" baby that came with a bottle, when you put it in the baby's mouth it opens and closes her eyes and coos and laughs, so Keira got a kick out of her baby and didn't put it down all night except to go nigh night.

Can't believe the year is almost over. It has been a crazy but short year. Hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year!

The kids were napping so I had a little bit of time to play on the computer. I found a website that lets you do makeovers on your self. You can choose a new hairstyle, makeup, and accessories at www.dailymakeover.com.

We have decided to put up a Christmas tree this year. Both of the kids helped us decorate the tree this year. Each of the kids got their own ornament with the first letter of their names on them. Here are some pictures of decorating and after. Hope you enjoy! Merry Christmas!

Well, this semester is over. I did wind up getting a C in one of my psych classes, which is okay because at least I passed it, my first one in 4 years of school. Not to brag or anything but I was actually on the Dean's list for a semester with a 4.0. Looking forward to a nice couple weeks off of school and not stressing out.

I got my test results back from my biopsy, the doctor said that it was just binine (sp.?) breast tissue. Another weight that is lifted off my shoulders :)

Keira and Aden are doing really good. Aden is starting to become more aware of things around and looking for his big sister when he is playing on the floor. He is reaching and grabbing toys with his hands. He hasn't started rolling over yet, he is pretty close though, he gets on his side then he rolls back over to his tummy. Keira is being a big sister and helping when she can. She has been putting words together into sentences and now can string about 5 words together that actually makes sense ;) Can't wait until Christmas when the kids open their presents.

Merry Christmas! I will probably try to post one more time before Christmas. Happy New Year!

Shocker...

I found out today that the little IGA store that I work at got robbed Wednesday morning about 4:50 a.m., the first person (deli) is at the store at 5 a.m. I work in the deli and open the store at 5 a.m on Fridays and Saturdays, I am just lucky it wasn't me opening the store. But I guess the guys were out before deli person got there.

Aden has been a little fussy these last couple days, we think he is getting teeth in. Keira got her first tooth at 3 months old.

I can't believe we are about a week away from Christmas. This year has gone so fast. Looking forward to seeing my sister-in-law and nephew from Kentucky. They were down for Thanksgiving and will be back on December 26th. Keira and Owen seemed to miss each other. We are supposed to get a lot of snow and ice today, hopefully my sister-in-law will not run into much difficutly with the weather on the way here, she is driving by herself and Owen.

Relaxing

I had my needle biopsy today, that went pretty well. It went better than I expected, I was a little nervous as I didn't know what to expect. Grandma and Grandpa were watching the kids and Dan took the morning off so he could be with me. Won't get the results back until Friday, but the doctor didn't sound too worried. The nurses said I cannot lift anything over 10 pounds for a couple days, that goes for Aden and Keira :) Keira doesn't really understand that mommy has an owy and can't pick her up, it kind of breaks her heart when I can't pick her up (she hardly ever hears no from mommy).

I am all done with finals and this semester. I have all my grades in one class and found out I got an A. My other professor is being a butt head and waiting until the last day the class closes (which is Friday) to post the grades. It feels strange to be done with school for a while and just relax. Both kids are sleeping and I feel lost because I don't have homework to do. Tonight will be a good night to just relax and get caught up on some DVR while Dan is playing pool. Should probably get caught up on wii fit and guitar hero also:)

We are done Christmas shopping. Dan and I have allready opened some of our Christmas presents to each other, but we each have one gift that we are opening on Christmas Day with the kids. We went shopping with the kids for a couple hours but didn't get everything. Grandma and Grandpa watched them the second time we went Christmas shopping. I love going places with the kids, but it is a lot faster if you go by your self.

4 more to go......

One semester down one more to go. I only have 4 more classes left till I graduate. This semester I am struggling for some reason. I have only had 2 classes this last 8 weeks but one of my classes is kicking my butt! I am getting a C in one of my Pscyh. classes, which is very rare for me since I am used to getting As & Bs. Next Spring is going to be tough with my classes, I have 4 classes at the same time, 2 of them are 16 week and 2 of them are 8 week. The first 8 weeks with all 4 classes are going to be tough, but the last 8 weeks with only 2 classes should be pretty good. I am almost done with my finals for this semester, didn't really have any finals just a lot of 8-10 page papers. I have one 3 page paper and I will be done for this semester.

We went Christmas shopping this week and I think we are done. We are going to take Keira and Aden to see Santa some time this week, probably the weekend. It is time for Keira to know who Santa is and start getting excited about Santa coming. Dan is taking 2 weeks off between Christmas and New Years, looking forward to that :) I am thinking about making Christmas cookies with Keira as a start of a tradition each year, we will see how that goes... wish me luck :)
She is usually good about helping mommy, but she always wants to taste everything.

Our team had a pretty good night Sunday for leagues. We won all 6 and each of us shot in the upper 40s out of 50. I shot pretty good and beat Dan for the night, Dan shot a 42 and I shot a 43.

Just relaxin'

Pretty relaxing morning. Keira is sitting on her pillow on the couch watching toons and Aden is still sleeping in his crib. Aden did wake up at 4:30 this morning, he goes back to sleep pretty easily after he eats. Not much planned for today just probably play on the floor with the kiddos.

I know Dan feels bad each night he plays pool and I appreciate everything he does. I got out a couple times by myself these last couple weeks. We didn't play our pool leagues because of Thanksgiving so I went to a pool tournament here in Lincoln at Drifter's. I am usually pretty nervous when it comes to pool tournaments because I am not as good as most of the people I play but I try. This was a nine ball tourny and they go by your ranking. I am rated a 3 (the lowest you can go), everyone else was rated at least a 4, the highest rating was a 9. I got a bye my first match, won my second, then lost and went into the loser's bracket. I won my first match in the losers bracket then ran into a 9 and lost. That week I got 7th out of 18 ,that is pretty good for me. I went to the pool tourny again last week because it was my turn to be off of leagues for the week. I went to the same place. This time I lost right away so I was in the loser's bracket. I won my second, third, and fourth match, so by then I was in the money. I finally met my match with a 9 player again and lost. I got 5th out of 22 that day, cashing out $15 for the day only making $2.

I really enjoy the time with the kids, but I enjoy the time to myself as well. I really appreciate everything Dan does for me. I know I don't show it enough or tell him enough. I don't know how he does it, going to work everyday then coming home and caring for the kids while I do my homework.

Well, better go for now and spend some time with the kids.

Crazy Dayz

Well, this is my first time doing a blog so we will see how it goes. Since both kids are asleep and I am done with my homework for this week I decided to splurge a little and play on the computer because I never do that :).

The kids are growing fast. Keira is so smart, but she just keeps amazing me everyday. Aden is getting big and keeps getting cuter every day. He is smiling a lot now. He is spending more time on his tummy so he can lift his head and neck up pretty good.

Aden is sleeping through the night now which is a plus since he is pretty fussy between 8 p.m and 11p.m. Keira was like that for a couple months, the doctors said she had reflux. Since night time is Aden's "tough" hours it has been pretty rough at night since Dan plays pool 2 or 3 times a week, but I wouldn't change staying home with them all day for the world.

And in other news..... While I was pregnant with Aden I found a lump in my breast, my doctor said it could be due to hormones while pregnant. I went back for my 6 week check up after Aden was born and it was still there. My doctor recommended that I wait 6 more months before I do anything about it. It has been bugging me so I went back to my doctor and got an ultrasound of that area, they suggested that I have a surgical consult with a doctor from Bryan LGH. I had that consult today and he suggested that I get it removed right away. So after all that said, my surgery is set up for Wednesday December 17th.
